I don't claim to know jack shit but I can tell you of my journey through life. At points I stood with hopeless wonder why I was forced to endure such horrific experiences. And at this moment I sit before my keyboard in shear amazement of the gift of love I have been blessed with. Last night I took my son to huddle house for dinner. We both enjoy this outing for the obvious reasons. But as I sat there munching away on my grease I looked up to see my son smiling at me. It was a visa commercial at it's best...priceless! Seconds later he politely asked the waitress for some milk because his hot chocolate was too hot. He then when on to arrogantly say "you should of put more milk in it before you gave me the hot chocolate". Well being a mother I quickly corrected him and informed him he was being rude. His response was "Well she should of." I just looked at him and responded "Never expect anything and always appreciate everything." 2005 was a challenging year and there are several people including myself who thought I would not see 2006. But here I am writing this for you to read. Although I have felt pain so life clinching I also have felt love so deep and strong that it took my breath away. Pain is real and evil things exist but love and kindness are part of the package. Don't give up when you think it is to much to for your soul to take. Not because it could be worse but because it is worth the tears and ache when you open your eyes and look around to see you have been loved all along. For those of you who cry tonight may your tears become droplets of joy. Tears of golden nuggets of hope. Babe this tear is for you. :)
