Boarding school: Parental substitution?



The general misconception is that boarding schools are places where parents send their children, because they don't have time to keep up with kids. It might be true at some extent. Boarding schools provide almost every care that parents need to provide for their children, especially theteenagers. Some parents lack time to nurture their kids in such ways, perhaps their jobs are so demanding. Another reason why parents send their teenage kids to a boarding school is because of the high-quality education.

Boarding schools provide almost every care that parents need to provide for their children, especially theteenagers. Some parents lack time to nurture their kids in such ways, perhaps their jobs are so demanding. Another reason why parents send their teenage kids to a boarding school is because of the high-quality education. Yet, there are actually several types of boarding schools. Some of them are called specialty boarding schools. These schools focus on troubled teenagers who have serious emotional, behavioral and learning problems. But for the record, boarding schools don't replace parents. They just help parents carry out parental responsibilities.
